Before each round, Spacial asks What would you like to focus on? Your answer becomes the round's label.
Why name your focus?
- It makes starting easier. Deciding exactly what you'll do removes the hardest part of starting.
- It keeps you honest. When you drift, the label on screen reminds you what you came to do.
- It shows where your time went. Insights group your focus time by label.
How labels work
Type in the line on the home screen, or in the field on the Timer, then press Start. Your recent labels appear as shortcuts under the line. Click one to reuse it, so related rounds stay grouped together.
Writing good labels
- Use the next step, not the whole project: "Draft intro paragraph" beats "Essay".
- Keep them short: two to four words is plenty.
- Reuse labels for ongoing work: "Biology revision" every day adds up in Insights.
